Call to Order at 6:30PM Last meeting of the year Introduction of SMART members present at meeting Teresa announced that she would personally like to thank everyone for all the help this year and that is what the group has been about. Mentioned that Terry and Roger were married this past weekend and that she was introduced to him by Marsha Riding safe and riding with women is what we hope to be about Great News Sharing: Sharon—starting a new career as a hairdresser for the Ritz Carlton Rita—part-time job at Victoria’s Secret Candy—rescued a dog on the interstate and it needs a home Susan G—has a new dog named Misha Brenda T.—new saddle bags Donna DuBord—leaving part time for Chicago/buying Honey Rider possibly Sarah—publisher is looking at Scholastic Book Club Verna—gets her bike back tomorrow minus the fender and she does not care. Director’s reports: Rita: Stepping down as Assistant Director—it has been a great year with a smaller group and really felt we got to know each other better. She will continue to be a member of the group and participate when she can Susan B. Stepping down as Activities Director— Sharon nominated Lori to do Activities for the next year. Discussion regarding Susan B’s contribution to the group regarding activities. She has done an outstanding job and wish she would continue as Director. Upcoming Activities: 11/29/07—Hooter’s/Abate bike night/Born to ride photo shoot 12/01/07—Holiday Bike Ride 12/08/07—Director’s Meeting Tequila Beach at noon 12/02/07—Abate Toy ride—flyers handed out at meeting 12/14/07—Tentative Christmas Party for Diva’s—will confirm location and send out reminders 12/15/07—KSU at Rossiter’s at 7PM for HOG light ride—more info to follow Donna DeFant: Needs to step down due to having 2 full-time jobs. She is willing to work with new Director and show her how to do the marketing that works Donna DuBord: Staying on as Director for fundraising. Suggestions were tossed around regarding the directors and potential people to fill the spots Request was made to check into alternative meeting places—need to have a quiet space so we can conduct a meeting but convenient for all Susan Goslin is checking into and will set meeting up for January: Leroy Selman’s Stonewood Grill in University Island Time Grill Martinis and Tapas on University D’Rnatonios MOTION: Social hour start at 6:30PM and Meeting at 7:00PM Seconded by Candy and Majority voted to change the time of the meetings, however brochures and website need changed. We need to change them anyway due to the location of our meeting (Steak and Ale closing). Sarah: Safety tip—Ride safe, Don’t fall off, Wear a helmet; Watch out for old people Candy: Treasurer’s Report $225.00 Income from Tee shirts $5332.42 Balance $3544.00 Check to SMART $1788.42 Balance Proceeds: $3282.00 checks written as donation Total to SMART--$7126.00 donation to charity Checks presented to Nick the President of SMART and two members Expressed thanks and contact him anytime if the DIVAs need anything NEW 2008 DIRECTORS: Director: Sarah Hammock Asst.
