- Donna DeFant brought the statue donated to us by SMART. There
are pictures of it on the web site. She recommended we share the statue within the members each month. Marsha is taking it home this month and will bring it back for another member to have for the next month.

requested she order more green tops that Rita McClain was wearing. Patti Sperling suggested we order men’s T-shirts as well and come up with a catchy slogan to put on them. Cynthia asked to look in the catalog and come up with some ideas.
- Patti Sperling, Safety Director, talked about gasoline. When is the
best time to fill up a bike? Wednesday morning before the price goes up for the weekend seems to be when it is the lowest price. Fill your bike up before it heats up as well. Thanks for the tips to lower the gas prices in this escalating market!
- Motion was made to accept April’s minutes. Seconded and passed.
All minutes are available on our web site.
- Sarah thanked all involved again for the benefit ride. Request to ride
out one evening to present a certificate of thanks. Sharyn and Tanya discussed the best night to do that is when they have their monthly meeting. Sharyn will confirm and let us know.
- All four charities we voted on have been notified. Sarah suggested a
charities ride instead of a poker run this year. The list of the charity recipients would be on a board. The event to be called: 4th Annual Diva Angels Charities ride. Request to have it at the Eagles again and start at Peggy’s. Discussion as to the need for waivers and it was determined that it would be needed. Marsha suggested Kat and Tanya should be the auctioneers and volunteered as well. Sarah suggested that since baskets are difficult to carry on bikes that we should instead get gift certificates, i.e.: weekend at the Ritz, weekend in the Keys, etc. Donna DeBord has ideas for fundraising. Tanya indicated that the most successful part of Laurie’s event was just to get people to show up. It was not as important as to how fancy the food, etc. Just letting as many people know as possible about the event was important. Even if we cook the hamburgers ourselves. Sharyn indicated how great the Eagles volunteers were and how they donated their time, food and services and beer without even knowing Laurie or the fact that her father was an Eagle himself. Sharyn gave details regarding their membership: 1100 members 100 women 1000 men. One type of membership votes and one does not. Cost: $30/year. A tentative date of Sunday October 12th was selected and Donna DeFant is going to check at the next MOM meeting and let us know if that date will work. Kat indicated she can get the same entertainment as Laurie’s as long as it was well in advance which it would be. Discussion as to sponsorship rides. The following dates were selected: June 21st, July 26th, August 23rd & Sept 20th Susan Goslin will prepare sponsorship forms. Pete had great ideas for Laurie’s ride regarding getting raffle items for men. IE: fishing items, car detail, car wash, etc.
- Donna DeBord indicated she will be attending the Milwaukee bike
event August 28th and asked if anyone else would be going.
- Sarah suggested a sunrise to sunset ride across the state which
would be an overnight ride. Watch the sunrise on the Atlantic and then the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico. Everyone that was a great idea and look forward to further details.
- Reminder to get odometer readings to Trish Detoni. She has relatives
in town for her daughter’s wedding.
- Everyone applauded Cynthia Trimarco for her great job on the
scrapbook! Awesome
- Marsha invited anyone to join her at Bonefish for dinner after the
meeting.
