Update: The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Diva Angels have a new meeting location. The new location is Crusty’s Pizza located at Bee Ridge and US 41 (south side of Paradise Plaza) Sarasota. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, July 15, 2008. The meeting starts with a 6pm - 7pm social And the meeting begins at 7pm. The Diva Angels are preparing for their 4th Annual Charity Ride scheduled for Sunday October 5th to benefit 3 new charities for the Divas: Special Olympics www.specialolympics.org , Susan G. Komen Foundation www.komen.org and Second Chance-Last Opportunity www.secondchancelastopportunity.org and all past years charities: Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, Samanatha’s Friends and S.M.A.R.T. will also receive a donation.

The 11th Annual Great Teddy Bear Run, sponsored by the Sarasota Florida HOG (Harley Owners Group) Chapter, is well underway. The date is set for Sunday November 16, 2008. This charity event will benefit KIDS by the SEA, a local non-profit, serving children with cancer in our area since 1982. Every year we have a police escorted parade with a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal strapped to our bike and end at the Sarasota Fairgrounds for a big party with lots of food & fun. For only $10.00 if you pre-register ($15 the day of the event) & a stuffed animal for charity, you gain entrance to the parade & event which includes your barbeque dinner, ice tea and water. Soda & beer by the glass will be available for a reasonable donation. -more-

On Sunday, Oct. 28th, several Diva Angels rode with members of the Sarasota HOG chapter in a Poker Run sponsored by Hap’s Honda to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. A good time was had by all while we raised money for a good cause.
